Welcome to Airhead ☁️
Hi :)
I’m Millie, and although I’ve been writing bits and bobs since I was about nine, you will certainly never have heard of me, or read anything I’ve done. My first job was in podcast marketing, and I’ve worked with some very cool people and some very cool companies (post on that later?). I’ve written a book, although it might never be ‘good enough’ for me to submit it anywhere. I’m a journalist, and have written for HELLO! magazine and The Guardian, among others. Writing will always be a part of me and my life, and I’m so excited to see where this newsletter goes.
The title of this newsletter is Airhead because it’s something I’ve been (rightfully) accused of being plenty of times. I am an airhead, and when everything gets too much I float away amongst my thoughts, which you can find here.
What can I expect from Airhead?
Book recommendations, pop culture commentary, life advice and learnings, discussions on adulthood, careers, sex and relationships, happiness, mental health, friendship and more.
It’s a space for anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed - by life, by the internet and social media. If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing life wrong somehow or that everyone else is doing it better (not a novel statement but a universal one nonetheless). If you get angry at the way the world is, or have imagined floating away above the clouds where the sky is simply blue and nothing is ever complicated, then this is the place for you.
I’m learning that life has no happy ending or magical destination. The path is all there is, and it’s reassuring not to travel alone.

Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. You’ll get an email every time I post. Newsletters will be once a month and there will also be the occasional poem, things I’ve read / listened to / watched recently, or Ask Airhead, where I answer one or some of your questions!
